About Quality Score

Quality Score is a composite metric that ranks teams based on four key performance factors:

Win % (40% weight): Overall winning percentage—the foundation of team success
Strength of Schedule (20% weight): Average win percentage of all opponents faced—rewards teams who played tougher competition
Wins vs Winning Teams (2.5 pts each): Quality wins against teams with winning records (>50% win %)
Playoff Wins (4 pts each): Victories against current playoff-contending teams—most prestigious wins

Formula: (Win % × 40) + (SOS × 20) + (Wins vs Winning × 2.5) + (Playoff Wins × 4)

Higher scores indicate stronger overall team quality considering both results and strength of opposition.
